Yunus Erdogan

Founder and Head Instructor

Yunus has spent years building products and working in tech. He started Tech for the Community to give ambitious students the kind of hands-on, high-standard experience he wishes he had earlier. He cares about shipping real work, not participation trophies.

At 15, he started building a company as a side project. By 16, it had grown into a real business, ranking Top 3 in the DC area and Top 10 nationally in its industry. He didn't have a mentor, a program, or a roadmap showing him how to create something meaningful. He figured it out by building, testing, failing, and learning along the way.

That experience is the reason Tech for the Community exists. Yunus knows what it takes to turn an idea into something real because he did it himself. He also knows that too many opportunities are concentrated among students who already have access to the right networks, mentors, and resources.

He created Tech for the Community to help level the playing field. The goal is simple: make high-quality mentorship, ambitious peers, and real-world experience accessible to students who are willing to put in the work, regardless of their background or connections.

If you want to learn how to take an idea, turn it into something tangible, and ship work that matters, this is the room to be in.
